Sell Your Art (Artist)

Sell your art online with Oso's Online CR Art Gallery. The purpose of Oso's Online CR Art Gallery is to provide Costa Rican Artists a platform from which they can promote and sell their art - Internationally.

  • Step 1. Artist Registration - To get started, click on the Register for an Artist’s Account link or from the main menu bar under Account, then fill out and submit the Oso Artist Registration Form. You will be notified by email when your registration is accepted (normally within 24 hours).
  • Step 2. Upload Photos - After you are notified by email that your registration is accepted, you may upload photos of your artwork, sending them by email as attachments to Oso Viejo, S.A. at info@flamingobeachcr.com. Photographs of your artwork (Minimum 900 pixels wide and minimum file size of 350 kbyes or larger). These photos will only be used by Oso Viejo, S.A. for the International Oso Online Costa Rica Online Art Gallery database. One (1) photo is required, however up to 3 additional photos showing details or showing the art on display in a home or office enviornment is very effective in the promotion of the artwork.
  • Step 3. Art Details - Complete the "Submit Art" Form http://artgallery.online-cr.com/artworksubmit.html
  • Repeat step 2 and 3 for each artwork you wish to submit.

  • After you have emailed Photos and submitted "Artwork Submit" Forms for each Artwork you wish to have in the Oso Online Gallery, we will enter the Artwork into the database and inform you that it is complete. The process from application to acceptance usually takes less than 48 hours. At this time, we are only accepting artists based in Costa Rica.
  • Additional Artist and Oso Art Gallery Responsibilities

  • If Artist is on vacation and unable to fulfil orders, or just inactive for a period, The Artists work as will be marked as "inactive" and the Art will not be available for purchase. The Artwork remains on display, and can later, be changed back to "Active" and the Artwork available for purchase and shipment.
  • The order process begins with a verification of the availibility of the requested art. Upon verification from the Artist, the Client order is accepted and the Artist is notified by email of the receipt of the order and a “Certificate of Authentisity”in a pdf format. The Artist is also paid a portion of the artwork price and sends the art and the signed “Certificate of Authentisity” to the client. The balance of the payment to the Artist is made at the end of the Client Garantee period (normally 28 days). If the Client's “Ship to” address is located outside of Costa Rica, additional Shipping cost will be paid by the Client.
  • Client Gaurantee - Oso Artgallery has a No-Questions Asked, Art Return Policy, providing that the client notifies Oso Art Gallery by email within 5 days of receipt of the artwork and Promptly ships the artwork with insurance, back to artist (Shipping and Insurance costs are at the clients expense). The balance of the Payment will be deposited to Artist's account after the Art has been received and accepted by the Client (normally 28 days).
  • As we are an Online Art Gallery we utilize Google Ads, Key words, and social Media posting and advertising to promote our artists and their work.
  • We also promote our artists on the Oso Art Gallery web site.
  • If you sell an artwork independently you must notify us and Oso will mark it as sold or remove it from inventory.
  • Complete Agreement of the Parties - Upon receipt of your completed Artist Registration Form, we will email you a pdf format of the "Agreement Between Oso Viejo, S.A. and Artist". This agreement specifies all details of the working agreement between the Parties.

Artwork for the Office

In choosing office art, many lean towards abstract artworks, as it can be seen as neutral. If the right piece is chosen it does not offend and is not too distracting. The style of art chosen will can reflect each company. Commissioned Art

How to Buy Commission Art - There are many reasons to commission original contemporary art. If you are looking for an original piece of art to fit a certain space in your home or place of work, or if you see an artwork on the site that you like but has already sold, it probably is possible to commission the art. It may also be that you have seen a piece of original contemporary art on the site that you would like in a different size or colour, or you may be trying to complement artworks you already own, if so, please just get in touch, as most of our artists are more than happy to paint commissions. If you have a specific idea of your own, please just let us know, and we will contact the artist that we think would best be able to develop your idea.

Many of our artists paint larger ‘Statement’ pieces which are ideal for corporate spaces, such as receptions, foyers, restaurants and hotels. We are happy to consult with interior designers to create the perfect environment and atmosphere.

You may want to commission original contemporary art for a specific area in the home, where only a piece the right size, shape or colour will fit in perfectly, we can also help with this. A commission does not have to be a large statement artwork, smaller pieces can also be commissioned. Contact us about Commissioned Art.

The commission does not have to be a painting, we can also arrange a commission with most of our ceramic, sculpture, glass & wood artists, to create the perfect finishing touch.

Once you have agreed on the commission, we will send you a proforma invoice showing all costs and estimated time frame. When the commission has been completed, we will send you images to approve. Once approved, the commission will be put onto the site marked as ‘Commission for $xxx USD’ so that you can purchase the piece. When you have purchased the artwork and it has been shipped, we will email you with delivery details. You are not obligated to purchase the artwork, however, if you do not purchase the artwork within 30 days of notification of completion, the Artist and Oso Art Gallery may sell the artwork to the general public and you have no claim to the "artwork".

  • If Gallery is Temporarily closed and unable to fulfil orders, or just inactive for a period, The Gallery Artist work as will be marked as "inactive" and the Art will not be available for purchase. The Artwork remains on display, and can later, be changed back to "Active" and the Artwork available for purchase and shipment.
  • Client Questions. Oso will attend to the client, answering any questions they might have. If Oso cannot answer a question, Oso will email the question to Gallery and Gallery agrees to promptly answer the question and reply back to Oso in a timely manner. Oso will then reply to the client.
  • The order process with the Gallery begins with a verification of the availibility of the requested art. Upon verification from the Gallery, the Client order is accepted and the Gallery is notified by email of the receipt of the order. The Gallery signs and forwards its own “Certificate of Authentisity” with the Artwork. The Gallery is paid by Oso Viejo, S.A., in full (less a commission to Oso Art Galley), and sends the art and the signed “Certificate of Authentisity” to the client along with the Gallery's Guarantee and return policy as it is posted in the Description of the Artwork. If the Client's “Ship to” address is located outside of Costa Rica, additional Shipping cost will be paid by the Client.
  • Client Gaurantee - For Gallery Artwork, Oso Art Gallery, will work with the Guarantee policy of the Gallery. This Garantee would be posted in the Artwork Database as a part of the Description of each Artwork posted.
